Escrow & Buyer
Protection.

The Golden Rule
When a Buyer pays on Trospot, the money is held safely in our Escrow Vault. The Seller does not receive the money until the Buyer confirms they have received the item as described.
The Escrow Process
The Inspection Period
Once the item is marked as “Delivered” by the logistics partner, the Buyer has a standard 48-hour Inspection Period.
- During this time, the Buyer must check if the item matches the video description and quality.
- If the Buyer does nothing within 48 hours, the transaction is automatically marked as “Completed” and funds are released to the Seller.
Returns & Refunds
A Buyer is entitled to a full refund if:
- The item was never delivered.
- The item received is significantly different from the video/description (e.g., wrong color, wrong size, damaged).
- The item is counterfeit.
Note: Buyers cannot request a refund simply because they “changed their mind” after the item has been shipped, unless the Seller explicitly allows returns in their shop policy.
Dispute Resolution
If a Buyer rejects an item, a “Dispute” is opened. Trospot Support acts as the neutral arbitrator.
Evidence
Both parties may be asked to provide evidence — unboxing videos, photos of the item, and chat history.
Buyer Wins
The item is returned to the Seller and Trospot issues a full refund to the Buyer.
Seller Wins
The escrowed funds are released directly to the Seller.
Seller Payouts
Once funds are released from Escrow, they appear in the Seller's Trospot Wallet. Sellers can request a withdrawal to their Bank Account or Mobile Money wallet at any time. Withdrawals are typically processed within 24 hours.
